The 2×135MW generating units of Hangzhou Banshan Power Generation Co., Ltd., China Huadian Corporation, originally adopted imported German metal mechanical seals for desulfurization circulation pumps. In July 2004, our company's mechanical seals were applied to replace the imported products, with a service life of up to 3 years and 3 months. We are the first enterprise in China to realize the localization of mechanical seals for desulfurization circulation pumps in FGD systems. Meanwhile, as the lead drafting unit, our company compiled the industrial standard JB/T 12391-2015 Specification for Mechanical Seal of FGD Pump.

The emergency replacement and delivery of mechanical seals for thermal power plant desulfurization pumps have been successfully completed.

During the commissioning phase of a desulfurization mechanical seal project at a thermal power plant, a large-scale leakage occurred in the mechanical seals for the desulfurization pumps, which prevented the on-site project from being delivered and put into ignition operation. The original equipment manufacturer was unable to resolve the on-site mechanical seal leakage issue. Under this emergency circumstance, our company was invited by the environmental protection company to improve and replace the on-site mechanical seals. We successfully resolved the problem in just over ten days, enabling the successful delivery and commissioning of the on-site project.
